You know there is just so much going on in the world that it is difficult to keep pace with the disastrous events which affect the vast majority of us, in particular the poor, the sick and other vulnerable people. There is so much injustice in the world it is staggering . It is not only that we are making little progress in this regard but it is that we are taking steps backwards, particularly in rich countries such as the USA and the UK.
With all the terrible events here in the UK it has been some time since the focus of this blog has turned to the USA where some of the worse social injustice, including constant attacks on healthcare, and environmental damage is gathering considerable and very rapid momentum and there seems less opposition, less protest.
