Is Cameron a sociopath?

What kind of person deliberately makes life more difficult for people who already struggle with disability and chronic illnesses by forcing them to seek work they are too ill to do, work that does not in any case exist or sanction their meagre benefits. What kind of person allows children to live in poverty and sick and disabled people to die for want of food which has happened here in the UK as a result of vicious welfare reforms. What kind of mentality allows others to continually live in a state of anxious dread and insecurity which is now a way of life not only for the sick, disabled and the unemployed but for most people here in the UK except the very rich? In fact what kind of person allows people to die or suffer these and other dire consequences or deliberately causes any preventable detriment?  What goes on in the mind of a person who considers that the rich should thrive at the expense of those less fortunate and endeavours to assist them in the abhorrent pursuit of wealth?

Such a person has to suffer from some kind of psychopathic condition, a sociopath perhaps. Another explanation is that he or she is evil. Ask yourself: what other reasons could there be? What other reason is there to explain the cold callous behaviour of a government whose leader condones profiteering at the expense of other people, other animals and the environment, puts the interests of the rich over those of the poor, who is hell-bent on the destruction and pollution of the environment as a result of fracking which most people are against? What kind of person allows the deliberate profiteering and manipulative practices of the energy companies for example, whose greed driven price hikes cause the premature deaths of thousands of people not to mention the misery of being cold and perhaps ill as a result.

What reason other than insanity or evil is causing the government to demonize the disabled and long-term sick, blaming them for the failing economy much like the Nazi party did in pre-war Germany when government propaganda singled out the disabled as the reason for their dire financial problems. We cannot describe such people in any other term than evil or sociopathic, what other reasons can there be for their extreme behaviour.

In the main Tory policy is responsible for the misery and suffering here in the UK and elsewhere. The people who are mostly responsible for the present evil here in the UK are most notably David Cameron, Ian Duncan Smith, George Osborne and… no doubt many others. Any MP who votes for any of the detrimental policies in recent years is complicit even if they themselves are not the instigators of these damaging policies.

Are such politicians sociopathic or evil

Jim Kouri, vice president of the National Assn. of Chiefs of Police, has collected a series of personality traits common to a couple of professions. These traits are superficial charm, an exaggerated sense of self-worth, glibness, lying, lack of remorse and manipulation of others.

According to Kouri such traits are common to psychopathic serial killers and American politicians. Obviously any politician.

“Kouri notes that these criminals are psychologically capable of committing their dirty deeds free of any concern for social, moral or legal consequences and with absolutely no remorse.
“This allows them to do what they want, whenever they want,” he wrote. “Ironically, these same traits exist in men and women who are drawn to high-profile and powerful positions in society including political officeholders.”

Profile of the Sociopath

“This website summarizes some of the common features of descriptions of the behavior of sociopaths.

  • Glibness and Superficial Charm
  • Manipulative and Conning
They never recognize the rights of others and see their self-serving behaviors as permissible. They appear to be charming, yet are covertly hostile and domineering, seeing their victim as merely an instrument to be used. They may dominate and humiliate their victims.
  • Grandiose Sense of Self
Feels entitled to certain things as “their right.”
  • Pathological Lying
Has no problem lying coolly and easily and it is almost impossible for them to be truthful on a consistent basis. Can create, and get caught up in, a complex belief about their own powers and abilities. Extremely convincing and even able to pass lie detector tests.
  • Lack of Remorse, Shame or Guilt
A deep seated rage, which is split off and repressed, is at their core. Does not see others around them as people, but only as targets and opportunities. Instead of friends, they have victims and accomplices who end up as victims. The end always justifies the means and they let nothing stand in their way.
  • Shallow Emotions
When they show what seems to be warmth, joy, love and compassion it is more feigned than experienced and serves an ulterior motive. Outraged by insignificant matters, yet remaining unmoved and cold by what would upset a normal person. Since they are not genuine, neither are their promises.”

Most of the above list of traits readily fits Cameron’s persona. Note the inclusion of “aberrant behaviors such as cruelty to people or animals”

Cameron so enjoys cruelty to animals he continues to push for the repeal of the fox hunting ban (hunting with Dogs) despite the fact that most people do not want a return to this barbaric pass time – I am not going to call it sport. Brian May says that Cameron has “no compassion for animals whatsoever.”

Don’t get sociopathy confused with mental illness, there is no comparison.Sociopaths are not mentally ill, they do not suffer the torment of mental illness. Though it is listed in the DSM – more recently as “antisocial personality disorder”-  it is not in the same category as more common mental health problems such as depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder and schizophrenia.

Sociopathy is in my opinion not a mental health problem. Mental health problems cause severe disruption of one’s life, these conditions are a serious detriment and most people would rather not suffer in this way and wish to be rid of such afflictions. Sociopaths on the other hand do not see themselves as ill or wish to be anything other than who they are.

It is important to note that mental health sufferers are facing a nightmare of existence as a result not only of the devastating effect of their conditions but as a result of welfare reforms which are targeting them in recent months with the consequence of deteriorating mental health and many suicides.

Here is how government polices are destroying the lives of those with mental health problems

Cuts to services

Cuts to UK mental health services are destroying young lives and families

£80m has been cut from the NHS mental health budget for children and adolescents in the past four years, including £35m in the last year alone

Benefit Sanctions:

How benefit sanctions punish people with mental health problems the hardest

New data: More than 100 people per day with mental health problems are having their benefits sanctioned

http://www.methodist.org.uk/news-and-events/news-releases/new-data-more-than-100-people-per-day-with-mental-health-problems-are-having-their-benefits-sanctioned

I hope to write more detailed information concerning the government’s deliberate targeting of people with mental health problems in another entry.

The shocking fact is despite all the government rhetoric that work is good for mental health generally speaking the opposite is true. The sad thing is that a person with a mental health condition cannot get a job or cope with holding a job for very long yet sociopaths rule the world, destroying our lives, the lives of other creatures and the planet itself.

Of course the mentally ill are not alone in their suffering as a result of Tory policies, people with all kinds of disabilities and illnesses, the unemployed and the low paid now live difficult lives as a result of the detriment of conservative ideology that favour’s the rich over the poor.

In my opinion the answer to the question posed in the above graphic is a resounding yes!!!!!!

Whether or not Cameron or his cohorts fit the diagnostic criteria of a Sociopath according to the DSM I couldn’t confirm. Nevertheless there is no doubt that he and his accomplices are evil and if we stand by and do not speak out we are in some small way complicit.

If we do not oppose this vile government all the progress of the last 60 years will be destroyed as the Tory’s dismantle our welfare system.

Consider the following which is very very loosely based on a poem below by Pastor Friedrich Gustav Emil Martin Niemöller who was an anti-Nazi and Lutheran pastor. You can read the original further down

“First they took away incapacity benefit, replaced it with a new benefit Employment and support allowance which was lower paid and made disabled people work, but I was healthy and able to find well paid work, so I did not speak out.

Than they paid the unemployed a pittance, not enough to support their families and forced them to work the hours of a fully paid employee for their job seekers allowance with the threat that if they did not do so their meagre benefit would be reduced or taken a way, but I was healthy, well educated and able to find well paid work so I did not speak out.

Next they proposed to take away the attendance allowance, but I had no dependents in need of attendance so I did not speak out

Than they came for DLA a benefit that once transformed the lives of the disabled and chronically sick allowing them to participate more fully in society and give them a greater independence. But I was well and able to get about so I did not speak out

They reduced and privatised the free health service until it finally dwindled to nothing but I was well, I had a well paid job and good insurance so I did not speak out.

Finally they phased out the retirement pension beginning with the warm front payment. Now I was old and sick and I could no longer be employed in my well paid job, recessions and continuing ill health had robbed me of my wealth. I died alone, destitute, impoverished and in pain, as by now there was no one left to speak out or support me in my time of need.”

First they came for the Communists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Communist
Then they came for the Socialists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Socialist
Then they came for the trade unionists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a trade unionist
Then they came for the Jews
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Jew
Then they came for me
And there was no one left
To speak out for me

  1. Reblogged this on perfectlyfadeddelusions and commented:
    They all are.

But about mental health services, people with long term conditions as adults are not getting help, I am on the waiting list for psychotherapy that has a two and a half years waiting list.

So kids and adults are getting a Raw deal, but everyone forgets about the adults who still suffer with mental health problems everyday.

But yet Cameron is a sociopath with narcissistic tendencies. But all of them have those conditions and they are allowed to run a country.

    • Thanks for the reblog. I know from my own experience that adults get a raw deal concerning mental health services. However I could not find much specific information about this to include in the above post and the article about children seemed to be the only one currently available concerning recent cuts to mental health services. And this is the problem these things are not reported by mainstream media and are kept from the public. if it was not for the internet we would be even less aware of what is happening in this country.

It’s an absolute outrage that you should have to wait two and a half years! Someone I know has waited seven months and that is bad enough.

You are right everyone forgets about adults and the older you get the worse this is.

As I say it seems that the country is run by sociopaths and indeed I suspect the same applies to most countries, reason why the world is a hell of a place to live.

I can’t believe that people let it happen, that people stand by while they mistreat the sick and disabled which includes the mentally ill who sadly get so little sympathy or understanding. People have been brained washed by the media and Tory rhetoric, which is what sociopaths are so good at. I was shocked not to mention angry when the stupid electorate voted for them a second time!!!!

  2. We humans seem to have serious problems with learning as shown by our propensity to revisit the same sort of social issues over and over. It maybe that the structuring of societies wherein they are founded on notions of exploitation guarantee these sorts of waxings and wanings of severe neglect of the more helpless and powerless are predictable. It is questionable whether societies that place high value on “productivity” can ever escape periodic demonizing (and targeting) of those who are perceived as failing to live up to such valuings.

    • Indeed history repeats itself; social progress is made by one generation only to be abandoned by the next. Unfortunately all societies exploit those who are weaker I doubt that will change and as you say societies which value productivity will exploit those who are weaker and fail to support or value those who are not productive, at least by the standards of that society which today is fixated with material acquisition. Today people see their lives as successful dependent on how powerful they are and how much money they make, usually at the expensive of other people, other animals and the environment. The attitudes of indifference and outright hostility and neglect of those unable to contribute shocks me in the extreme. The fact that they don’t seem to realise that one day they could well be in a similar position is baffling to say the least. It also shocks me how people fail to condemn our greedy society, so willing to demonise people with disabilities but failing to condemn the rich and powerful, though thankfully things are changing in this regard.
